Green Bean Curry Recipe

Cooking Instructions

Ingredients:

  • Gedera & Co. Green Bean Curry Home Cooking Kit
  • 500g of Green beans
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbs coconut oil (or any other oil)
  • Onion thinly sliced

Method:

  • Cut green beeans diaganally in to 3 cm pieces. (Refer the video for details)
  • Heat oil in a heavy based pan and fry the aromatics and the onions for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add the spice blend mix and cook for another minute.
  • Add the beans and 1 cup of water. Cook in medium heat for 7-8 minutes.
  • Check if the beans are tender (not mushy), if they are not, cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Mix the coconute milk powder with ¼ cup hot water and add it to the beans.
  • Cook for another 2 minutes and take off the heat.
  • Taste and add salt only if required.

Best served with warm rice or as a side with grilled fish or chicken.

Note: Pandan leaves are edible but they are tough and fibrous. They add an amazing aroma but are not pleasant to eat. Please remove them before enjoying the dish.
