Cooking Instructions Step-by-Step
Ingredients
- Gedera & Co. Beef Curry Kit
- 800g to 1kg of diced beef
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 2 cm piece of ginger
- 1 large tomato
- 1 medium onion
- 2 tbsp of oil
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1/4 cup of hot water

Step 1: Finely chop garlic, onion and tomatoes and keep this aside.

Step 2: Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a heavy-based pan and empty the curry leaves bag and fry for a minute.

Step 3: Add chopped garlic into the pan and keep stirring.

Step 4: Add chopped onion and keep stirring for another minute until it is caramelised.

Step 5: Empty Gedera & Co Spice Blend Pouch into the pan and fry for 2 more minutes.

Step 6: Empty the diced beef into the pan. Stir well to coat the beef with the spice mix for 5 to 6 minutes.

Step 7: Add 1/2 cup of water to the pan and bring it to boil. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring every 3 to 4 minutes.

Step 8: Empty the Coconut Milk Powder Pouch into a small bowl, mix with 1/4 cup of hot water, and add it to the pan.

Step 9: Cook for 6 minutes or until the sauce thickens, then turn off the heat.

Step 10: Enjoy your Sri Lankan Beef Curry with rice or roti.
